AB - Mathematics is one of the compulsory subjects taught to students from elementary school to high school. Mathematics has a very big connection to everyday life. Many people think, especially students, that mathematics is very difficult to understand. This has an influence on student learning outcomes. Therefore, it is necessary to have an approach or method to realize effective mathematics learning. Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) is the right approach to realize effective mathematics learning. This article tries to answer how the effectiveness of Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) on the learning achievement of elementary school students. The results show that Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) has a high level of effectiveness on the learning achievement of elementary school students.
